On Christmas Eve Rina and I spent a good chunk of the day in Shibuya for some shopping. We kept indoors mostly, but when it got dark we noticed all of the holiday lights that were put up around the city.
Obligatory Food Post
November 19, 2008Okay, so normally I take photos of what I eat at restaurants. 2 photos doesn’t really merit it’s own post so I’ve been letting them pile up for a while and I’m just going to throw them all at you now.
6 am Shibuya
November 11, 2008So, due to sleep deprivation, I found myself with a lot of time to kill very early in the morning this past Saturday. I had 2 hours before I had to catch the train to go to Utsunomiya, so I decided to go to Shibuya. At 6:30 am.
Shibuya Arcade – UFO Catcher Machines
November 1, 2008For as long as I’ve been alive I’ve only won something out of these damn machines once. It was a stuffed platypus from some machine in Kyoto or something.
Anyway, UFO Catchers/The Crane Game/THE CLAW (“Oooohh~“) have really horrible prizes in the US. I haven’t been inside of an arcade since that shoddy place in Chinatown 3 years ago, so when my cousin asked if I wanted to go in when we passed one in Shibuya I said, “sure, why not?”
Shibuya Night Walk
October 31, 2008Shibuya really looks the best at night. Unfortunately, I don’t usually like to stay out at dark since nighttime is when the crowd is at it’s worst and it’s much harder to navigate the streets.
